NORFOLK, Va. – Howard’s Greg McGhee and Florida A&M’s Damien Fleming were selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference’s (MEAC) Co-Offensive Players of the Week, announced on Monday.  North Carolina A&T’s D’Vonte Grant was named Defensive Player of the Week.

Hampton’s Jerrell Antoine earned Rookie of the Week honors while Morgan State’s Darren Pinnock was selected as the Offensive Lineman of the Week.  C.J. Moore of North Carolina Central and Antonio Hamilton of South Carolina State was selected as Co-Special Teams Players of the Week.

McGhee (QB, 6-3, 210, Sr., Pittsburgh, Pa.) rushed for 119 yards on 17 carries with three touchdowns to lead the Bison to a 28-25 non-conference win over Central Connecticut State.  He also completed 15 of 33 passes for 216 yards and one touchdown through the air.  With his 335 total offensive yards against Central Connecticut State, McGhee became the MEAC’s record holder for total offensive yards in a career (9,913), breaking the previous record held by former Howard quarterback Ted White (9,848; 1995-98).

Fleming (QB, 6-3, 210, Sr., Jacksonville, Fla.) connected on 23-of-30 passes hitting 12 different receivers, for 337 yards with four touchdowns in a 41-7 win over Delaware State.  He also rushed seven times for 19 yards with another touchdown.  He moved into second place in FAMU history with 6,868 total passing yards.

Grant (LB, 5-10, 195, r-Sr., Charlotte, N.C.) recorded 11 tackles, nine solo, with 5.0 tackles for a loss of 31 yards in a 34-0 win over Savannah State.  He also posted three sacks for 27 yards and intercepted a pass, broke up a pass and forced a fumble while leading the Aggies to their second straight shutout in two weeks. It was the first back-to-back shut out for the program in 60 years.

Antoine (QB, 6-1, 160, Fr., Orlando, Fla.) guided the Pirates to a 40-35 win over Bethune-Cookman and finished with a game and career-high 249 passing yards on 21-of-34 attempts with five touchdowns.  He also carried the ball 10 times for 24 yards to help Hampton pull off the victory.

Pinnock (OL, 6-4, 330, Sr., Miami, Fla.) led the Bears in the trenches during the come-from-behind victory over South Carolina State.  He graded out at 90-percent of his blocking assignments, without a penalty or surrendering a sack.  He helped the offense amass 448 yards of total offense, including 209 on the ground to clinch the victory.

Moore (DB, 6-2, 200, Sr., Raleigh, N.C.) blocked a punt and recovered the ball in the end zone for the game-winning touchdown with 5:52 remaining in the game to help the Eagles seal a 19-14 win over Norfolk State.

Hamilton (DB, 6-0, 185, 4-Jr., Johnston, S.C.) returned a 98-yard kickoff for a touchdown, his third of the season, against Morgan State.
