There’s no shortage of HBCU talent in Division I football this season.
And several are up for one of college football’s top individual honors.
The Stats Perform HBCU National Player of the Year Award recognizes the best player across the 21 HBCU programs in Division I FCS, including teams from the MEAC, SWAC, CAA Football and Ohio Valley Conference.
Alabama State quarterback Andrew Body is back in the spotlight after winning the award last season, making him the lone returning finalist.
He’s joined by a deep group of playmakers who will spend the fall trying to separate themselves from the pack.
