Alabama State is preparing to keep moving without its starting quarterback.
The Hornets earned their first SWAC win of the season without Andrew Body against Mississippi Valley State, and now they’re preparing for another game without him.
Alabama State coach Eddie Robinson Jr. said that Body is currently wearing a cast on his left wrist, according to Montgomery Advertiser reporter Jaeden Day.
It is unknown when Body will be back on the field.
“It’s hard to say the timetable because we don’t know how fast it will heal,” Robinson said this week.
“It’s one of those areas where the bone doesn’t get a lot of oxygen, is what they’re telling us, or a lot of blood flow,” Robinson said. “So it’s not really a, it’ll be back in a week, two weeks, three weeks or four weeks.”
Day reported that said both the team and Body are optimistic that the quarterback will return at some point this season.
For now, freshman Aaron Frye will start moving forward.

Frye completed 10 of 21 passes for 137 yards, one touchdown and one interception. He also provided a spark with his legs, rushing nine times for 29 yards and scoring twice.
His three total touchdowns were the most by an Alabama State quarterback this season.
Now, Frye gets another opportunity.
“We will get him ready for Bethune-Cookman,” Robinson said on Monday.
