Both HBCU Division I softball champions will have their hands full this Friday in the NCAA tournament.
SWAC champion Florida A&M will face No. 2 seed Florida in Gainesville while MEAC champion Howard has a return engagement with No. 3 seed Duke.
Florida A&M won their first SWAC softball championship in dramatic fashion, defeating Southern 2-1 on a walk-off single by Braxtyn Battle.

Howard repeated as MEAC champions, taking down South Carolina State 11-2 in five innings in Saturday’s title game. The Bison lost to Duke 12-0 in last year’s Durham regional opener. First pitch is scheduled for 12 PM EST Friday May 15 on the ACC Network.
