Clark-Atlanta and Morehouse will take the field in style this season.
The Panthers and Maroon Tigers football teams have received state-of-the-art helmets thanks to a grant from the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation, in partnership with the Atlanta Falcons, the team announced on Friday.
“We are proud to support the football programs at these historic institutions through this grant,” said Chris Millman, Senior Vice President of Community Engagement and Sports Philanthropy at AMB Sports and Entertainment.
“Player health and safety is paramount, and improvements in helmet production over the past five years have been remarkable. We are pleased to help bolster the well-being of student athletes as they head into the new season.”
Morehouse College Athletic Director Harold Ellis expressed gratitude for the donation, emphasizing its impact on both player safety and morale.

“The new helmets will elevate player health and safety and provide our Maroon Tigers with the highest level of protection,” Ellis said. “We thank the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation and the Atlanta Falcons for their partnership and for supporting our commitment to student-athlete well-being.”
Clark Atlanta University head football coach Teddy Keaton echoed Ellis’s sentiments.
“This is more than just new equipment; it’s an investment in the future and safety of our student-athletes,” Keaton said. “We’re grateful for the generosity and recognition of the importance of protecting young men on and off the field. These helmets represent progress, purpose, and the power of partnership.”
