Norfolk State and Howard University won Wednesday night’s MEAC All-Sports Awards Dinner in Virginia Beach.

The Spartans’ men’s programs won the Talmadge Layman Hill all-men’s sports award for the second consecutive year, while the Bison women earned the Mary McLeod Bethune all-women’s sports award for the fourth year in a row.

The Norfolk State men won cross country, outdoor and indoor track and field and a share of the men’s basketball regular season championship and represented the MEAC in the NCAA tournament.

Howard’s women won indoor and outdoor track and field, softball, and volleyball regular-season championships. The Bison softball team won the MEAC tournament and recently represented the conference in the NCAA tournament.
