Following a successful 2024 season that saw her be named the MEAC Newcomer of the Year, Morgan State forward Naya Ojukwu is heading to the ACC to play for the University of California, Berkeley.

Ojukwu transferred to Morgan State after one-year stints at the University of Utah and Gonzaga, respectively.

She averaged 17.1 points, 9.0 rebounds, 1.4 blocks, and 1.2 steals in 15 games (she missed the first two months of the season) and was named to the All-MEAC Second Team.

Though the Bears fell short to Maryland-Eastern Shore in the first round of the MEAC tournament, Ojukwu had an impressive performance.

She finished with a game-high 26 points on 50% shooting, eight rebounds, and three blocks.

Ojukwu helped lead the Bears to an improved 13-17 overall record and a 6-8 conference record over their previous mark (8-22 overall and 3-11 conference in 2024).

She joins a University of California team that former veteran WNBA guard Charmin Smith coaches.
