Blake Harper, who won the conference MEAC Rookie of the Year and Player of the Year awards for Howard, is deciding between the Bison, Big East school Creighton, LSU of the SEC and the Big Ten’s Ohio State.

Harper, a native of Washington, D.C., averaged 19.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 3 4. assists per game for the Bison, who were upset by Morgan State in the 2025 MEAC quarterfinals after winning the conference tournament in 2023 and 2024.
Harper was called “One of the most tampered with players in college basketball” by Sports Illustrated after his game earned nationwide attention.
“Howard’s given me the opportunity to showcase who I am as a person and as a basketball player,” Harper said following the MEAC tournament loss. “Coach KB was the first one to believe in me. Gave me an offer right to my face and I took it.”
