With just over 60 seconds left in regulation, Jackson State forward Romelle Mansel caught and slammed down an alley-oop pass from Deshaun Ruffin that appeared to give the Tigers a 55-54 lead.
Mere seconds later, the go-ahead score was waived off by officials and ruled offensive basket interference because Mansel grabbed the rim before completing the dunk.

Alabama State would go on to win the game and the SWAC championship 60-56, punching its ticket to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2011.
Tigers head coach Mo Williams was asked about the ruling in the postgame press conference but didn’t discuss it in too much detail.
“I just felt like a lot of things didn’t go our way,” he said.
