Eight days after beating William & Mary by 25 points, the North Carolina A&T women’s basketball team suffered an early exit at the hands of them.

W&M outscored the Aggies 10-2 in overtime for a 74-66 upset win in the Coastal Athletic Association tournament quarterfinals.

North Carolina A&T led 55-47 on a Chaniya Clark layup, but the Tribe outscored the Aggies 17-9.

Kayla Rolph’s three-pointer tied the game at 64 with 2:12 to go in regulation, and neither team scored again until overtime.

Monet Dance’s layup gave W&M the lead for good and the Tribe scored the first 10 points of the overtime.

The Aggies were almost shut out in the extra period until a Clark tip-in with 25 seconds left finally got A&T on the board.

Dance scored a game-high 27 points for William & Mary and Cassidy Geddes added 26. Paris Locke led North Carolina A&T with 16 points, and Jordyn Dorsey and Clark added 13 points each.
