DeSean Jackson’s first full schedule as an HBCU head coach was released Wednesday morning, as Delaware State has a 12-game schedule filled with the usual Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference opponents and begins with an in-state rivalry game.
Jackson’s Hornets will travel to face former FCS program University of Delaware (moving from the Coastal Athletic Association to Conference USA) on Thursday, Aug. 28.
Jackson’s first home game is Saturday September 6 against Albany. The Hornets will host Bowie State Sept. 13 before a three-game road trip against St. Frances, Sacred Heart and Monmouth before returning home to face Central Connecticut State Oct. 11.
MEAC play begins for Delaware State at 2022 Celebration Bowl champion North Carolina Central Oct. 25, then Jackson’s former Philadelphia Eagles teammate Michael Vick and Norfolk State visit Dover Sat. Nov. 1.
