Southern University somewhat exceeded expectations in 2024, winning the SWAC West under first-year head coach Terrence Graves.
The Jaguars will enter the 2025 season with a lot to prove and the goal of winning the SWAC for the first time since 2013.
Southern released its full schedule on Wednesday. The Jaguars are coming off an 8-5 season, in which it went 7-1 in the SWAC and reached the conference championship game for the second time in four years.
The Jaguars are set to face four teams that either had winning records or appeared in postseason play in 2024: MEAC power North Carolina Central in the MEAC/SWAC Challenge, Alabama State, Jackson State, and FBS opponent Fresno State.
