HAMPTON, Va. — Hampton University has released its 2025 football schedule, featuring six home games at Armstrong Stadium and six road contests.

The season includes marquee matchups against 2024 Celebration Bowl champion Jackson State, the historic Battle of the Real HU against Howard, and the annual Battle of the Bay against Norfolk State.

The Pirates begin their campaign on Aug. 30 with a non-conference road game at Jackson State. Hampton’s non-conference slate features four games, all against HBCU opponents. The home opener is set for Sept. 6 against Elizabeth City State.

On Sept. 20, the Pirates travel to Washington, D.C., to face Howard in the 100th edition of the Battle of the Real HU, a rivalry dating back to 1908. The non-conference schedule concludes on Oct. 4 with a home game against Norfolk State in the Battle of the Bay.

Hampton opens Coastal Athletic Association play on Sept. 13 at North Carolina A&T. After facing Howard, the Pirates continue conference action at Elon on Sept. 27. Hampton hosts Campbell on Oct. 11 before traveling to Villanova on Oct. 18. The Pirates then return home for games against Monmouth on Oct. 25, Maine on Nov. 8, and William & Mary on Nov. 15.

The regular season concludes on Nov. 22 with a road trip to Rhode Island. The Oct. 25 game against Monmouth will serve as Hampton’s homecoming, where the Pirates have compiled a homecoming record of 57-36-3.
