The Southwestern Athletic Conference has announced its 2024 SWAC Baseball Tournament seedings following the conclusion of regular season play.
Florida A&M (East) and Texas Southern (West) claimed divisional titles after finishing with the top records in their respective divisions.
Florida A&M (22-8 SWAC) enters the tournament as the No. 1 seed from the Eastern Division.
Bethune-Cookman claimed the Eastern Division No. 2 seed (19-10 SWAC), while Alabama State claimed the No. 3 seed (18-12 SWAC), followed by No. 4 seed Jackson State (16-12 SWAC).
Texas Southern (18-6 SWAC) enters the tournament as the No. 1 seed from the Western Division.
Grambling State claimed the Western Division No. 2 seed (18-8 SWAC), while Prairie View A&M claimed the No. 3 seed (18-9 SWAC) followed by No. 4 seed Southern (15-12 SWAC).
The league’s tiebreaker policy determined the final seedings in the event of a tie in conference records.
The tournament will be played in a double-elimination format. Action will start at 9:00 a.m. EST on Wednesday, May 22nd, and games will run through May 26th.
