Arkansas Pine-Bluff’s women’s basketball team could be on the verge of losing a key star as All-SWAC guard Coriah Beck has announced she intends to enter the transfer portal.
In her announcement posted to Twitter, Beck said that Arkansas-Pine Bluff “helped shape me into the basketball player I am now” and that UAPB would “forever hold a special place in my heart.”
Beck is coming off her second season with the Golden Lions, and she will be transferring to the team from the University of Memphis in 2022.

This season, she averaged 12.8 points and 4.1 rebounds in 30 games and was named to the All-SWAC Second Team.
This included scoring 20 points in her final three games, shooting above 45% in two of those performances.
The All-SWAC guard was forced to miss the SWAC tournament after suffering a torn Achilles injury in the team’s penultimate regular season game against Jackson State.
Beck is now one of two Arkansas-Pine Bluff women to enter the transfer portal this offseason, along with fellow guard Jelissa Reese.
