Grambling State, which won the SWAC tournament for the first time ever on Saturday, will face Montana State in the NCAA Tournament’s First Four.
The Tigers will be a No. 16 seed in the Midwest Region. The winner of Tuesday’s game will play No. 1 seed Purdue on Friday in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The Tigers have a lot of momentum heading into the field of 68 after it knocked off NCAA tournament-tested Texas Southern in the SWAC title game champion.

Over in the MEAC, Howard returns to the NCAA tournament after surviving a tough championship game against upstart Delaware State, is slotted as a 16-seed, and will face Wagner in a 16-seed matchup in the West Region on Wednesday.
The Bison (18-16) lost in the opening round last March against Kansas.
