The North Carolina A&T Aggies women’s basketball team’s hopes of a CAA tournament championship remain alive after knocking off Hofstra 55-40 to advance to the semifinals.
This marks the second straight time North Carolina A&T has beaten Hofstra, having also won against them in their regular-season finale.
Jordyn Dorsey led the charge for the Aggies, scoring a game-high 15 points, adding five rebounds and three assists.
Chaniya Clark filled the stat sheet with 11 points, 19 rebounds, four steals, and two blocks.

After leading for much of the first quarter, North Carolina A&T went through a cold spell, committing three turnovers in the final 1:37 of the period.
Entering the second quarter down 13-12, the Aggies dug themselves a deeper hole, surrendering a 9-3 run and going into halftime down 24-18.
The second half was a completely different story for A&T as they outscored Hofstra 37-16, leading by as many as 18 points on their way to victory.
North Carolina A&T will face Stony Brook with a chance to advance to their first-ever CAA tournament championship game.
