Prairie View added a Power Five opponent to its 2024 football schedule.
The Panthers are scheduled to play Michigan State in East Lansing on Sept. 14, according to FBSchedules
Michigan State had previously completed its 2024 football schedule but was left with a late opening after its Sept. 14 home game against the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns was canceled. The Spartans then added Prairie View as a replacement, the website reported.
Prairie View, which won the SWAC West in 2023 before losing the conference championship to Florida A&M, has true non-conference games against Northwestern State, Incarnate Word, and Texas A&M-Commerce in addition to Michigan State.
