Adidas announced that five HBCUs will get team-exclusive editions of shoes worn by NBA stars.

Shoes worn by Anthony Edwards, Damian Lillard, Donovan Mitchell, James Harden, and Trae Young will be featured by HBCU basketball teams between Feb. 5 and Feb. 12.

Here are the models and the school that will be wearing them.

Arkansas Pine Bluff – The AE 1

The UAPB edition of Minnesota Timberwolves star forward Anthony Edwards’ AE 1 sports a golden upper paired with black mesh. The Lions’ logo appears on the medial collar.

The 𝐆𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐋𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 will be rocking your favorite hooper’s favorite hoop shoe.

Introducing the 𝐔𝐀𝐏𝐁 𝐀𝐄 𝟏 𝐏𝐄, made exclusively for the Golden Lions’ Men’s + Women’s Basketball teams. Believe That.

Alabama State – Dame 8 EXTPLY

The Hornets’ iteration of the Dame 8 EXTPLY sports a tonal bright yellow upper. Black Adidas branding on the sides offers the only bit of visual variety for this otherwise monochromatic aesthetic.

Alcorn State – Trae Young 3

The Braves Team Exclusive features a combination of suede and synthetic purple upper with gold Three Stripes branding on the lateral and medial sides. Alcorn branding appears on the rear pull tabs.

Grambling State- D.O.N. Issue No. 5

Grambling’s team-specific edition of Donovan Mitchell’s D.O.N. Issue # 5 is outfitted in the school’s black and gold with Grambling’s “G” logo on the insoles. This is not the latest school version of a Mitchell; last season, the brand released a Grambling iteration of the Cavaliers’ star guard’s previous sneakers, the D.O.N. Issue #4.

Prairie View- Harden Vol. 8

These Harden Vol 8s sport a black mesh and purple foam upper. Prarie View branding appears on the pull tabs. As with Grambling, this is their latest iteration of team-exclusive Harden footwear, as they had their version of the predecessor to the Harden Vol.8, the Harden Vol.7, last season.

There has been no indication from Adidas if any of these sneakers will see retail releases.
