Quarles announced his intentions via Twitter in a picture captioned,”I let em live for a while, now the lease up.”
The former Bulldog entered the transfer portal at the end of Alabama A&M’s season in November, initially committing to UNLV in January.

He made a big impact in the team’s SWAC championship win during the spring, recording 69 rushing yards and scoring two touchdowns.
Before the 2022 season, Quarles was named to the preseason All-SWAC First Team. However, once the season started, he played in just four games, managing 167 yards.
