Alabama State is riding on a high after it rallied to score five runs in the bottom of the ninth on Thursday to defeat Florida A&M 9-8 on the second day of the Southwestern Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament.
“We talk about being resilient. The entire year, we’ve played a full nine innings. It’s about being competitive until that last out. We competed all the way. It was fun to watch and be a part of it,” Alabama State baseball head coach Jose Vazquez said.
The Hornets will play the Rattlers Friday afternoon in a rematch.
