The PAC-12/SWAC Legacy Series begins with the Colorado Buffaloes heading to the Bayou to take on Grambling State.
Friday’s game is one in a series of contests between the two leagues aimed to raise awareness on race and social justice issues.
Tip-off is scheduled at 7 p.m. on ESPN+.
The Buffaloes are currently fifth in the PAC-12 with a 2-0 record, with wins over Nebraska and UC Riverside, respectively. Throughout two games, they have four players averaging double-figures: J’Vonne Hadley (16 points and eight rebounds per game); KJ Simpson (14 points per game); Jalen Gabbidon (12 points per game); and Tristan Da Silva (12 points).
The Tigers so far have played only one game, a blowout home win over the UNT Dallas Trailblazers, 82-57. In that game, they had four players in double-figures led by Carte’Are Gordon, who had a team-high 18 points and 14 rebounds.
This game will likely come down to who can get the stops when they matter most. Rebounding will also be key as well as second-chance possessions.
