The magical run for HBCUnited is over.
After winning its first two games in the Rucker Park Regional of The Basketball Tournament, the HBCU-led team dropped a 67-63 decision to Americana for Austim in the Round of 16 Wednesday night.
Delroy James led four players in double figures to help Americana for Autism advance to the Round of 8 for the first time.

James, the team’s leading scorer through the first three games this summer, made all seven of his free throw attempts in the win.

Darryl Monroe pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds for Americana for Autism, which went scoreless on six straight possessions before winning the game on a free throw by Ronald March.
Jermaine Marrow’s game-high 22 points led the way in the losing effort for HBCUnited.
