HBCU football fans have been waiting months for the return of the sport for a full fall season.
And what better way to start the official kickoff for the 2021 season than with the time-honored tradition of the College GameDay crew of Desmond Howard, Lee Corso, and Kirk Herbstreit determining who should be favored in the matchup of the day.
The MEAC/SWAC Challenge ESPN-backed game between Alcorn State and North Carolina Central took center stage during Week 0.

The College GameDay cast, joined by Tennessee State head coach Eddie George acting as celebrity picker, made selections for tonight’s game.
It was a clean sweep for Alcorn State, with Corso making his pick by donning a throwback Steve McNair jersey and oversize helmet.
