Casey’s future at Jackson State appeared promising after he threw 323 yards and four touchdowns in a 52-43 loss to Alabama A&M on April 10.

He was then named the starter for the season finale against Prairie View before the game was ultimately canceled because of COVID-19 issues within the JSU football program.
However, the redshirt shirt freshman decided to leave the program for what he described as his “next opportunity.”
Casey, who has four years of collegiate eligibility remaining, will be entrenched behind current SWAC Player of the Year Aqeel Glass. Glass is entering his senior season this fall and is an NFL Draft prospect.
