Skyler Jordan is a 6-3, 205-pound senior who played wide receiver at Providence Christian Academy in Lilburn, Georgia.
Jordan announced on Thursday that he has committed to Alcorn State to continue the next phase of his football career, where he will play cornerback.

He also happens to be the son of R&B singer, songwriter, and pastor Montell Jordan, who also took to Twitter to celebrate this son’s announcement.

The younger Jordan is the first player from Providence Christian to sign with an NCAA Division I program. He had 91 catches for 1,349 yards and 13 touchdowns, setting a school single-season record.
According to national college recruiting service PlayingForEnvelopes.com, Jordan also received an offer from Florida International.
