Grambling State’s next two football games against Alabama A&M and Texas Southern have been canceled due to positive COVID-19 cases within the GSU football program, HBCU Sports confirmed from multiple sources Wednesday.
The Tigers were scheduled to play Alabama A&M in Huntsville Saturday and Texas Southern the following Saturday on April 3.

Alabama A&M’s game against Grambling could not be rescheduled due to scheduling conflicts. Grambling has open dates on April 10 and April 24, but A&M is scheduled to play each of the next four weeks through April 24.
With the cancelation, Texas Southern’s remaining schedule includes an April 17 matchup hosting Mississippi Valley State and a season finale against on the road at Arkansas-Pine Bluff on April 24.
Grambling’s remaining contest will be against Southern in the annual Bayou Classic on April 17 at Independence Stadium in Shreveport, Louisiana.
The SWAC’s football championship game is scheduled for May 1.
