JACKSON, Miss. – The Jackson State Division of Athletics released its fall 2021 football schedule on Monday.

The 11-game regular-season schedule includes eight Southwestern Athletic Conference contests, five home games, and two neutral-site affairs.

“We are very excited to announce our fall 2021 football schedule,” said JSU head football coach Deion Sanders. “Our young men are able to play in fantastic venues and will receive a great experience. I would like to thank our great Vice President and Director of Athletics, Ashley Robinson for setting the table for an entertaining and exciting slate.”

The Tigers open the season on Sunday, September 5 in the Orange Blossom Classic versus Florida A&M at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. It will be Florida A&M’s first contest as a member of the SWAC.

JSU will travel to Memphis and play in the 32nd Southern Heritage Classic (Saturday, September 11) versus Tennessee State. The Tigers’ first true road game is at Louisiana-Monroe (Saturday, September 18) and close out the non-conference portion of its schedule at home versus in-state foe Delta State (Saturday, September 25).

The Tigers open October with a built-in bye and travel to Alabama A&M (Saturday, October 9) and host Alabama State (Saturday, October 16). JSU will welcome Bethune-Cookman to Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium (Saturday, October 23) and closes out October at Mississippi Valley State (Saturday, October 30).

Two of the three games in November will be played at home. JSU welcomes Texas Southern (Saturday, November 6) and travels to Southern (Saturday, November 13).

The final regular-season game is slated for Saturday, November 20 versus Alcorn State at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

The 2021 SWAC Championship is slated for Saturday, December 4.

Ticket sales will be announced at a later date.
