Jackson State men’s 2020-21 basketball schedule released

JACKSON, Miss. – The Jackson State men’s basketball program released it’s 2020-21 upcoming schedule Thursday afternoon as the Tigers will play a total of 28 games on the season with nine matchups slated to be played at home.

They’ll gear up to play 18 conference matchups and 10 non-conference games, including a non-conference season opener on November 10 versus Mississippi State in Starkville, Miss.

Other marquee non-conference games include at Kansas State (Nov. 15), Northern Iowa (Nov. 17), UT-Martin (Nov. 23), Wyoming (Dec. 1), Louisiana Tech (Dec. 4), UL-Monroe (Dec. 6), Bradley (Dec. 17), and Marquette (Dec. 19).

The Tigers begin conference play with a road trip to Alabama A&M on January 2. The Tigers’ first home game includes a conference matchup with in-state rival Alcorn State on January 9 at the Lee E. Williams Athletics and Assembly Center.

JSU will host eight other home matchups versus Southern(Jan. 11), Mississippi Valley State (Jan. 30), Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Feb. 1), Texas Southern (Feb. 13), Prairie View A&M (Feb. 15), Grambling State (Feb. 20), Alabama A&M (March 4), and Alabama State (March 6).

The 2021 SWAC Tournament is set to begin March 10-14 in Birmingham, Ala.
