Dr. Kiki Baker Barnes, Dillard University athletics director and interim commissioner of the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference, is the special guest. In this episode, Dr. Barnes discusses the impact COVID-19 has had on Dillard and other member institutions of the GCAC.

Barnes recounts the events that led to the NAIA’s decision to cancel all spring sports and the discussions that took place afterward among the GCAC members.

She also provides some sobering comments on the long term effects the pandemic could have on Dillard and similarly sized institutions. She even admits, for some schools, the impact could result in closure.
