Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) commissioner Charles McClelland makes another appearance on the HBCU Sports Podcast with Kenn Rashad.
McClelland talks about the events that led to the cancelation of the conference’s basketball tournament as well as the NCAA’s decision to cancel its signature basketball event as public concerns regarding the coronavirus grew.
Additionally, the commissioner discusses the NCAA’s decision to extend the eligibility of spring sports student-athletes and the impact it could have on member institutions.
He also talks about his “growing concern” on the start of the 2020 football season and even the possibility of not having a football season at all.
