Dover, Del. — Former Delaware State standout and National Football League veteran defensive lineman Rodney Gunter has taken his talents to his home state of Florida.

A native of Lake Hamilton, Fla., Gunter played four seasons with the Hornets (2011-14) before being selected by the Cardinals in the fourth round (116th overall pick) of the 2015 NFL draft, the third-highest pick of a DSU player in the history of the draft.

In his five seasons with Arizona, he recorded 126 tackles, including 11 sacks, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in 79 games).

A two-time All-MEAC selection, Gunter played in 45 games with the Hornets, tallying 187 total tackles (96 solo), 38 tackles-for-loss and 16 sacks.
