MBB Tiebreaker Seeding Procedures
Jackson State claimed the #4 seed based upon the application of the three-team tiebreaker procedure of records amongst tied teams (JSU 3-1, GSU 2-2, and ALCN 1-3).

After reducing the three-team tie to a two-team tie the two-team tiebreaker procedure was applied (head-to-head) with Alcorn State claiming the #5 seed and Grambling State claiming the #6 seed based upon head-to-head point differential (ALCN +9) as the two teams split the season series.
