NORFOLK, Va., – Morgan State wide receiver Manasseh Bailey and North Carolina A&T State running back Jah-Maine Martin have been named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Offensive Co-Players of the Week, the conference office announced today. Norfolk State’s Bobby Price is the Defensive Player of the Week and Delaware State freshman Thomas Bertrand-Hudon has been selected as Rookie of the Week. Earning Offensive Lineman of the Week honors is South Carolina State’s Alex Taylor and picking up Specialist of the Week honors is the Bulldogs’ Cliff Benjamin, Jr.

Bailey (WR, 6-1, 195, Sr., Capitol Heights, Md.) caught five passes for a game-high 177 yards and four touchdowns, including an 87-yard touchdown reception, in the Bears’ 59-26 win over Virginia University of Lynchburg on Saturday. He also ran back two kickoffs for 22 yards.

Martin (RB, 5-10, 214, Jr., Conway, S.C.) ran for 120 yards and three touchdowns on 19 carries in the Aggies’ 47-17 win over Bethune-Cookman. Those three scores gave him 19 for the season, which breaks the Aggies’ single season record and ties the school record for total touchdowns. It was his fifth 100-yard game of the season.

Price (DB, 6-4, 205, Sr., Virginia Beach, Va.) logged six tackles, including three solo, and had an 84-yard interception return for a touchdown in the third quarter of the Spartans’ 33-17 win at Delaware State.

Bertrand-Hudon (RB, 6-0, 220, r-Fr., Mont Saint-Hilaire, Quebec) ran for a career-high 137 yards and had a 48-yard touchdown run against Norfolk State, averaging 5.5 yards per carry. He became the first Hornet since Emmanual Marc in 2006 to run for 100 yards or more in three consecutive games.

Taylor (OL, 6-9, 310, r-Sr., Moncks Corner, S.C.) graded out at 95 percent and helped the Bulldogs accumulate 250 yards of offense (208 rushing and 42 passing) in a 39-7 win over Howard. He had five pancake blocks and didn’t yield any sacks in the win over North Carolina Central.

Benjamin (P, 6-1, 190, Gr., Holly Hill, S.C.) registered nine punts for 337 yards for an average of 37.4 yards with a long of 58 yards against the Eagles. He put four kicks inside the 20 and had two touchbacks.
