BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- Southern’s Ladarius Skelton and Calvin Lunkins, Mississippi Valley State’s Tracy Thompkins, Jackson State’s Josh Littles, Alabama State’s Hunter Hanson, Alabama A&M’s Abdul-Fatai Ibrahim, and Texas Southern’s DeAndre Johnson were all named Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Football Players of the Week in week ten of the season for their outstanding play the league announced on Monday.

Offensive
Southern
Ladarius Skelton (6-2, 210, Jr., QB, Pine Bluff, Ark.)
Skelton accounted for 4 touchdowns in a Southern victory over Alabama A&M Saturday night 35-31. He finished the night with 34 carries for 238 yards and two touchdowns while going 16-of-25 and two touchdowns through the air with no interceptions.

Co-Defensive
Mississippi Valley State
Tracy Thompkins (5-9, 180, Sr., DB, Miami, Fla.)  
Thompkins recorded double-digit tackles with 11 against the Hornets. He had seven solo stops, including a season-high 3.5 tackles for a loss and a forced fumble.

Southern
Calvin Lunkins (6-1, 230, R-Sr., LB, New Orleans, La.)
Lunkins led a stingy rush defense holding the Bulldogs to only 71 yards on the ground offensively. He finished the night with 13 tackles, with two of those tackles going for losses.

Co-Specialist
Jackson State
Josh Littles (5-10, 175, Jr., RB, Picayune, Miss.)
Littles scored on a 94-yard kickoff return in the closing moments of the third quarter. Jackson State defeated Arkansas-Pine Bluff 21-12.

Co-Specialist
Alabama State
Hunter Hanson (5-9, 181, Jr., K, Montgomery, Ala.)
Hanson finished the day perfect in extra points and field goals to lead Alabama State to a 27-0 victory over Mississippi Valley State Saturday. The junior connected on all three of his extra points and connected on a pair of field goals to finish with nine points. He connected on a 39-yard field goal to end the first half, and then a 40-yard field goal with just 1:50 remaining in the contest.

Abdul-Fatai Ibrahim (6-1, 190, Fr., WR, Mirimar, Fla.)
The freshman led Alabama A&M in receiving at Southern with 128 yards and two touchdowns on seven receptions. He caught touchdown passes of 60 and 6 yards.

Co-Newcomer
Texas Southern
DeAndre Johnson (6-2, 205, Gr., QB, Jacksonville, Fla.)
Combined to score two touchdowns as he passed for 351 yards on 21-of-40 passing with a touchdown. Also rushed for 133 yards on 21 attempts with a touchdown at Grambling State.
