BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Alabama A&M’s Jordan Bentley and Armoni Holloway, as well as Jackson State’s Josh Littles and Tyson Alexander, were all named the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Football Players of the Week in week three of the season for their outstanding play the league announced on Monday.

Jordan Bentley (6-1, RB, 195, Sr., Guntersville, Ala.)
Bentley accounted for 161 yards and three touchdowns as Alabama A&M overcame an 18-point halftime deficit to top North Alabama 31-24 in Florence — AAMU’s first win against UNA since 1988. The senior running back from Guntersville, Ala. rushed for 126 yards on 26 carries, averaging 4.8 yards per carry, scoring on runs of three and six yards. Also caught three passes for 37 yards, including an 18-yard touchdown reception. All three of Bentley’s touchdowns came in the second half.

Armoni Holloway (6-2, LB, 190, Jr., Pinson, Ala.)
Holloway led Alabama A&M with 11 tackles, one sack, five tackles for loss, a forced fumble and a pass-breakup in a 31-24 win at North Alabama. With UNA attempting a potential game-tying drive in the game’s final two minutes, Holloway sacked quarterback Christian Lopez near midfield while forcing a fumble that secured the win.

Josh Littles (5-10, RB, 175, Jr., Picayune, Miss.)
Jackson State’s Josh Littles ran back the opening kickoff of the Southern Heritage Classic 100-yards for a score to help aid the Tigers to a big win over Tennessee State on Saturday helping end a six-game losing streak in the series to TSU.

Tyson Alexander (5-11, RB, 190, Fr., Desoto, Texas)
Jackson State Freshman Tyson Alexander rushed for 87 yards and a 52-yard touchdown run in the first quarter in JSU’s 49-44 win over Tennessee State in the Southern Heritage Classic on Saturday. The 49 points was the most points by Jackson State in the Southern Heritage Classic and ended a six-game losing streak in the series to TSU.
