Five home games, including a big homecoming matchup with new Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference member Savannah State University, highlight the just-released 2019 Clark Atlanta University Panthers football schedule.
The Panthers open the 2019 football season on September 7th in CAU Panther Stadium against Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association member Livingstone College.
After that, home dates include matchups with Central State University, Albany State University, the October 19th CAU homecoming date against new SIAC member Savannah State University, and the final home game of the season against Fort Valley State University.
“This season, in particular, will be exciting because we have some old faces and a new foe,” said CAU Athletic Director J Lin Dawson. “Savannah State comes in as a full partner in the SIAC and we’ll play them at home for Homecoming. They are coming, of course, from the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, a Division I school, so it will test the viability and strength of our up-and-coming football team very early in the year. So, we’re excited about that. With all the changes and the upgrades, we think it’s going to be an exciting year.”
