North Carolina A&T head coach Sam Washington has been in the coaching business for a long time.
And it’s likely he’s aware of all of the nuances necessary to bring two college football teams together to play a game.
So with all of the excitement and jubilation the Aggies football team exhibited Saturday after the Aggies’ 28-23 upset win over FBS member East Carolina in the locker room, Washington – being the professional that he is – made sure the most important thing wasn’t overlooked; getting the check.

“One last thing,” Washington said to his team. “Tell them to bring me my money.”
According to reports, the Aggies were paid $300,000 plus travel expenses by East Carolina to make the two and a half hour trip from Greensboro to Greenville.
