The loss snaps Grambling’s program record 11-game surge.
The Golden Lions (11-19, 11-5 SWAC) saw four players score in double figures, including Travon Harper, who scored a team-high 16 points on 7 of 8 shooting from the field in 22 minutes.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff built a lead as large as 13 points in the second half before Grambling made a late push to pull within four points in the final three minutes of regulation.
Grambling (15-13, 11-4) shot 20 percent in the second half and 29 percent overall for the game. The Tigers were paced by Shirmane Thomas, who scored 12 points. Ivy Smith Jr. chipped in with 11 points and Nigel Ribeiro had 17 points in 27 minutes off the bench.
