With so many stellar performances featured week after week during the 2017 marching band season – and even taking a moment to recognize the best cover songs and halftime shows of the year – there was still the necessary task of selecting finalists for the HBCU band of the year.
Jackson State’s Sonic Boom of the South and the North Carolina A&T Blue and Gold Marching Machine were named the two finalists for HBCU Sports’ Band of the Year award Sunday.
