The one weekend of the HBCU football/marching band season where the phrase “I love my HBCU” is creatively displayed in ways that a simple t-shirt or bumper sticker can’t begin to touch.


Whether it be the Florida Classic, the Aggie-Eagle Classic, the “Soul Bowl” or the Battle of the real HU. In the world of HBCUs, rivalry week is nothing more than one big “Family Feud.”

Here are the top five HBCU band halftime shows from Week 12.

Performed at Armstrong Stadium

4. Bethune-Cookman (vs. Florida A&M)
Performed at Camping World Stadium, Orlando, Fla.

3. North Carolina A&T (vs. North Carolina Central)
Performed at Aggie Stadium, Greensboro, N.C.

2. Jackson State (vs. Alcorn State)
Performed at Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium, Jackson, Miss.

1. Florida A&M (vs. Bethune-Cookmam)
Performed at Camping World Stadium, Orlando, Fla.
