For all of the pregame pontification that led into Saturday’s annual State Fair Classic football game between Grambling State and Prairie View A&M, the outcome, which resulted in a decisive 34-21 victory for the Tigers, didn’t quite match the hype as predicted.

There was, however, another battle that took place Saturday at halftime between the two bands: the “World Famed Tiger Marching Band” of Grambling and the “Marching Storm” of Prairie View A&M.

In fact, it’s one of those rare HBCU halftime battles that has become so intense that the bands will only perform to their respective crowds, regardless of who the home team is each year.

Because of this, we’re led to ask the most obvious of questions: Which band won the State Fair Classic halftime show?

We’ve found video of each halftime performance. Take a look at both shows and then cast your vote in the poll below.

This poll will close Tuesday (Oct. 10) at 11:59 p.m.

PVUA&M University Alumni ’86. Both School Bands did a great job, but I am partial to my Alumni. Keep up the good work. Both Schools. We provide a great atmosphere as well as an excellent educational experience.
