After pulling off the upset against FBS Georgia State, Tennessee State jumped into the FCS Coaches Top 25 Poll on Monday.
The Tigers (1-0) opened the 2017 season with a 17-10 win last Thursday over Georgia State is ranked at No. 24. It was the school’s first win over an FBS program since 1984.
Tennessee State was one of three HBCU schools in ranked in the poll this week. North Carolina A&T, which romped over Garner-Webb, is tied for No. 21 with Northern Iowa. Grambling State, which lost its Week 1 opener to Tulane, dropped from No. 21 to No. 23.
Jackson State, Hampton, Prairie View, North Carolina Central and Howard were placed in the “others receiving votes” category of the poll.
Again nca&t trys to make a name for itself playing nobody until they meet central. These hbcu polls keep them ranked 1 as soon as someone loses.
Put down the hater-aid son, we all know that…hold on….. Wait a minute…….I think Duke just scored again!
Don’t worry about A&T worry about NCCU that played Shaw and Duke.
You want beat up Shaw but you get smack down by Duke and then you want
come on here and said A&T not playing anybody until the play NCCU.
What NCCU need to do is upgrade their facilities. It high school stadiums in North Carolina that is biggest than NCCU.You played Duke for the last four years and you played Western Michigan and you let your team take a 14 hours bus trip to get beat
70-0 and you on here talking about A&T, football schedule. NCCU has the worst football stadium in the entire MEAC. You win championships but don’t make any improvement to your stadium.
