Maryland Eastern Shore 92, South Carolina State 69

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. — The University of Maryland Eastern Shore got an all-around standout performance from Senior Bakari Copeland (Decatur, Georgia) and what head coach Bobby Collins called “a total game” from his squad on Saturday in a 92-69 win against visiting South Carolina State.

Savannah State 73, Howard 70

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Charles “CJ” Williams poured in a career-high 37 points and James “JT” Miller added 18, but it was not enough to hold off Savannah State and its three-point shooting barrage as the streaking Tigers (9-12, 6-2 in the MEAC) edged Howard 73-70 in an entertaining Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference game at Burr Gymnasium.

Morgan State 76, Coppin State 74

BALTIMORE, Md. — Tiwian Kendley scored 30 points and Morgan State won for the sixth time in seven Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference games, holding off Coppin State, 76-74 on Saturday.

North Carolina Central 82, North Carolina A&T State 59

DURHAM, N.C. — North Carolina Central University etched another line into the record books as the Eagles nailed 16 three-pointers to tie the most made in a game in the Division-I era during an 82-59 win over North Carolina A&T on Saturday, Jan. 28.

Florida A&M 81, Delaware State 68

DOVER, Del. — The FAMU men’s basketball team erased a six-point halftime deficit with a 55-point second half en route to an 81-68 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference win over Delaware State at Memorial Hall here Saturday.

Norfolk State 73, Bethune-Cookman 66

NORFOLK, Va. — Senior Jonathan Wade scored 31 points, the second-highest output of his career, to give the Norfolk State men’s basketball team a 73-66 win over Bethune-Cookman on Saturday evening at Joseph Echols Hall.
