ATLANTA – The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) is proud to announce that its corporate partnership with Toyota Motor Corporation has been extended for another year. Toyota will remain as the official automotive sponsor of the SIAC.

As the SIAC’s official auto partner, Toyota will be provided with activation opportunities at SIAC games and championships along with digital and social media opportunities.

Last year the league partnered with the Toyota Green Initiative Campus Ambassador Program to create and enhance recycling programs at 15 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) within the conference. The program consisted of 26 student-athletes and traditional students from the 15 colleges and universities around the league.

“We are looking forward to continuing this important partnership with the SIAC” said Mia Phillips, National Manager, Brand, Multicultural & Crossline Marketing Strategy, at Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. “We take great pride in the relationships that we have cultivated and strengthened with SIAC fans, students and alumni are very proud to remain the official automotive partner of the SIAC.”

“The SIAC works extremely hard to both create and deliver a significant value proposition to our corporate partners” SIAC commissioner Gregory Moore said. “We look forward to not only continuing this important relationship with Toyota but working to support and advance important Toyota initiatives.”

With the help of the Toyota Green Initiative (“TGI”), SIAC campus ambassadors held 47 events, created six green organizations and impacted over 8,900 students. Additionally, 364,997 pounds of recycled material was diverted and their campaigns recorded 147,012 TGI specific impressions on SIAC social media platforms.

Toyota will also continue its Ride & Drive promotion at select dealers for SIAC graduating seniors.
