No major changes in HBCU football polls, North Carolina A&T, Tuskegee still on top

North Carolina Central celebrates HBCU national title with parade

North Carolina A&T and Tuskegee stayed in their first place positions after ten weeks in the HSRN Football Polls.

A&T, Grambling and N.C. Central held onto the top three spots in the FCS Poll. Southern and Tennessee State switched positions to round out the top five. Bethune-Cookman returned to the top 10 following its 41-10 win over Morgan State.

Tuskegee and Winston Salem State remained first and second in the Division II/NAIA poll for the third straight week.

Bowie State jumped from fifth to third with Virginia State and Chowan rounding out the top five. BSU and WSSU will meet in the CIAA Championship Game, Saturday in Salem, Va.

Fort Valley State’s 21-17 Fountain City Classic win over Albany State brought the Wildcats back into the #10 spot as they prepare to meet Kentucky State in the SIAC Championship Game this weekend in Montgomery.
