Poll: Vote Now for HBCU Sports’ Band of the Week – (Week 8)

After taking a week’s hiatus to acknowledge our midseason top 15 band poll, we resume voting on our HBCU Sports Band of the Week for Week 8.

The polling this week involves 12 bands, which include band performances from the Sounds of the South Battle of the Band events held last weekend in Macon Ga.

The nominees this week are Alabama A&M, Albany State, Alcorn State, Benedict College, Fort Valley Sate, Jackson State, Morgan State, Norfolk State, North Carolina A&T, Savannah State, Southern University and Talladega College.

Below are video clips of each band performance. Take a moment to watch the videos and then cast your vote in the poll below. Polling ends Friday night at 11:59 p.m.

Alabama A&M – Won its head-to-head poll over Alabama State from the Magic City Classic Saturday at Legion Field in Birmingham, Ala.

Albany State – Nominated for its Saturday halftime performance against Benedict College.

Alcorn State – Nominated for halfime performance against Southern Saturday in Lorman, Miss.

Benedict College – Nominated for halftime show against Albany State.

Fort Valley State – Nominated for performance at the Sounds of the South BOTB held Saturday in Macon, Ga.

Jackson State – Won head-to-head poll over Prairie View A&M after Saturday’s game in Jackson.

Morgan State – Nominated for it’s halftime performance Saturday at Norfolk State.

Norfolk State – Nominated for halftime show at home against Morgan State.

North Carolina A&T – Received majority “Thumb up” vote for its GHOE halftime show Saturday in Greensboro.

Savannah State – Nominated for its guest performance Saturday at the Sounds of the South BOTB.

Southern – Nominated for halftime performance Saturday at Alcorn State.

Talladega College – Nominated for guest performance at Sounds of the South BOTB Saturday in Macon. Ga.
