NORFOLK, Va. — Norfolk State’s Roger Hall was selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Baseball Player of the Week, the conference announced today. Teammates Chase Anderson earned Rookie of the Week, while Devin Hemmerich was named Pitcher of the Week.
Hall (IF, 6-0, r-Jr., Chesapeake, Va.) went 7-for-15 (.467) with one double, one triple and three runs batted in, in four wins over William & Mary and Coppin State. He recorded a slugging percentage of .667 in the three-game sweep of Coppin State. Anderson (2B/3B/P, 5-9, Fr., Norfolk, Va.) recorded a .308 batting average (4-for-13), including one double, two runs scored and three RBIs, in four games against William & Mary and Coppin State. Defensively, he pitched one scoreless inning of relief, against Coppin State.
Hemmerich (LHP, 6-0, Jr., Norfolk, Va.) pitched seven scoreless innings, in a win over Coppin State. He scattered three hits and matched a season-high eight strikeouts.
