JONESBORO, Ark. – The 2015-16 season comes to an end for Southern as the Jaguars fell to Arkansas State, 68-45, Thursday afternoon during the WNIT.

Britney Washington led SUBR with 12 points – the most scored by a Jaguar during the WNIT. She went 5-for-17 in shooting, recording six rebounds and four steals. Washington was joined in double figure scoring by Rishonti Cowart who hit 10 points off the bench – a season high. Cortnei Purnell grabbed a team-high nine boards while chipping in four point, while Briana Green was held at six points and one rebound.

Khadi Brown-Haywood managed a game-high 19 points and 12 rebounds for the Red Wolves. Aundrea Gamble claimed 14 points and nine rebounds, while Brittney Gill registered 12 points and nine rebounds.

SUBR shot 30.6 percent from the field and forced 15 turnovers to the 21 it committed.

The Jaguars produced a higher three-point percentage at 33.3 than ASU which made only one of its 13 three-point attempts (07.7 percent).
