BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Texas Southern guard Chris Thomas has been named Southwestern Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week. This is the first time Rodgers or anyone from the Jaguars have earned the weekly honor.

Thomas scored a season high 26 points on 11-of-12 shooting from the field Saturday in a 16-point win over Jackson State, a team that had won five of its last seven games. Thomas also handed out four assists, one blocked shot and a steal in 39 minutes of action.
Monday against Grambling State, the Denver Colo. native scored 13 points, grabbed five rebounds, dished out four assists and three steals.
